The Milky Way.
Taken near the VLA in New Mexico. This location is perfect because of it's lack of light pollution. In places this dark the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye & actually looks like clouds building on the horizon as it rises out of the east.
This is how a cameras sensor records the night sky after a 30 second exposure. Minimal adjustment but this is not "photoshopped". It's God's awesome work, how we were meant to see it
